This summer, Annafoxy attended the influential Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada trade show in Toronto, Aug. 20-22, held at The International Centre.
The annual event gave us a chance to showcase our new collection; meet new apparel, fashion, textile, and fabric manufacturers and suppliers; reconnect with familiar faces; and enjoy the amazing networking opportunities ATSC presents.
There is something energizing about having so many people from all aspects of the fashion industry under the same roof! We were excited to find out that the trade show expanded its categories to include accessories, sporting merchandise, footwear, luggage, electronics, and gift items such as a variety of jewelry, collectibles, and ceramics.
Annafoxy at ATSC 2018
We couldn’t miss watching the main fashion show on Day 2. It created major buzz with daring new trends, designs, and fabrics. We appreciate ATSC’s ongoing commitment to providing a participatory venue for ongoing dialogue about relevant issues in the ever-evolving world of fashion.
We also managed to attend a couple of workshops and several seminars lead by top experts in the business. Topics ranged from the political (trade agreements and other legal concerns) to the practical (marketing strategies and sourcing in the digital world). We were introduced to high quality, eco-friendly textiles and cutting-edge technologies that are sure to impact the apparel industry in positive ways.
At Our Annafoxy Booth
Of course, we brought some of our favourite masterpieces along for the fun! We’re proud of how our Mirror Cloud Dress brings out your beautiful with its tiered sleeves and exquisite detailing. Another trade show darling was the popular Yin & Yang Costume featuring “flashy” unique front mirror accents. While we might be partial to its “wild side” vibe, Denim La Cotte certainly seemed to be a game changer for visitors dropping by to see what Annafoxy is all about.
Clothes should evoke emotion, feel good when being worn, and inspire confidence. Balancing customer satisfaction, visual impact, and functionality is central to each one of Anna’s beautiful designs. It was very important for us to watch how people responded and interacted with the garments on display.
Seeing a person’s reactions to Anna’s creative designs gave us insights into textures, types of fabrics, and colours we want to explore for future collections. The feedback we received on specific details such as fashion effect, style impact, and overall quality was important customer opinion that we can apply to planning successful marketing strategies. These valuable insights will help us develop an elevated approach to creating and designing your personal style.
This was our first year at the ATSC. We anticipated that it would be worthwhile, but really it exceeded our expectations – we met with leaders and influencers in the industry and made important sourcing connections. We look forward to doing this again next year.
Annafoxy would like to thank everybody who stopped by our booth at the ATS Canada 2018 trade show. We really enjoyed meeting all of you, and we hope you’ll stay in touch!
